Canoe Festival of Ireland 2025

Dates: 5th–7th September 2025
Location: Share Discovery Village,

Welcome to the Canoe Festival of Ireland

A Weekend for Canoe Lovers — and the Canoe-Curious

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or just curious about life in an open boat, the Canoe Festival of Ireland is your chance to dive into something unforgettable. It’s three days of pure paddling joy — no stress, no egos, just great people, gorgeous water, and a proper good time.

This is the first year of a new annual gathering that we hope to take around the country in the years to come — celebrating Ireland’s canoe community in all its forms, in new places each time.

What to Expect

Your ticket includes a full festival experience:

âś… Coaching Sessions & Workshops (Saturday & Sunday)
Learn from the best. We’ve lined up top-tier coaches for a mix of skills clinics, trips, and off-the-wall workshops — whether you want to master solo technique, get to grips with tandem teamwork, or try out traditional skills like canoe poling, there’s something for you.

âś… Access to Vendors, Kit Demos & Displays
Chat to the makers, try something new, and see what’s out there — from hand-crafted paddles to expedition-ready boats.

âś… Evening Craic & Social Events (Friday & Saturday)
Bar open. Music playing. Stories flowing. A chance to meet your paddling heroes — and make a few new ones too.
Plus a few surprises to keep things lively…

âś… Saturday Night BBQ Feast
A relaxed evening to refuel, share laughs, and maybe even win a few prizes…

âś… Official Festival T-Shirt
Because who doesn’t love a bit of limited-edition paddling swag?
